Arts, Culture & Creativity Month

April is Arts, Culture & Creativity Month!

Every April, California celebrates Arts, Culture & Creativity Month (ACCM), a statewide initiative dedicated to raising awareness of the vital impact the arts have on our communities. Established in 2019 through a resolution in the California Senate and led by CA for the Arts, ACCM is a month of free events, resources, and advocacy opportunities that empower Californians to champion the value of arts and culture.

This year's theme, Boundless Culture & Creativity: The Essence of Freedom, with the sub-theme Building Joy, Action + Power, calls on communities across the state to celebrate creativity as a force for resilience, connection, and change.

MCA Goes to Sacramento

During ACCM, Marin Cultural Association will be on the ground in Sacramento for two key events: the CA Arts & Culture Summit on April 20 and Arts Advocacy Day on April 21. The Summit includes panels, workshops, and cross-sector conversations about the future of arts and culture in California, while Arts Advocacy Day involves a statewide rally, performances, and a march to the Capitol to advocate for arts-friendly policies with California lawmakers.
