Marin Shakespeare Company

For the past 38 years, Marin Shakespeare Company has provided opportunities to audiences, artists, and students for cultural engagement and curious learning at the Forest Meadows Amphitheatre, the Downtown Theatre at 514 Fourth Street, San Rafael, in schools, and prisons. In April, Marin Shakespeare Company offers "La Comedia of Errors," running April 18 through May 10 at the Downtown Theatre in San Rafael. This bilingual adaptation by Bill Rauch and Lydia G. García reimagines Shakespeare's classic comedy of mistaken identity as a telenovela, weaving together music, physical comedy, and cultural collision in a fast, funny, multilingual production for all ages. Directed by Karina Gutierrez, the show filters Shakespeare through contemporary themes of immigration, otherness, and hope, making it one of the most timely and joyful productions on Marin's spring calendar.
